Installation & Surveying
Total Network Solutions, with our comprehensive training and accreditations, is experienced in working on and in external underground networks, providing network cabling and subduct installation throughout the United Kingdom. Our teams, fully equipped for the task, have completed the full range of courses, including Openreach accreditations and vocational training such as new road and street works (NRSWA), fibre jointing and testing, energy and utilities skills register (EUSR), telecoms, and many others, ensuring the highest quality of service for our clients.
Why use TNS?
By using TNS for your external cabling, you will benefit from our in-house, experienced operatives. Our underground cabling teams have experience working with various networks. We have processes and procedures in place, along with a robust health and safety system. We use electronic documentation that is updated in real time in the field. This allows for quicker reporting and billing, as well as the reporting of issues, enabling the back-office staff to liaise with the client.
External Underground Surveying
We are experienced in underground cabling, but we can also carry out underground surveying, rodding and roping, locate blockages, and produce reports to the client's specification. This information can also be transferred to a GIS platform, allowing a visual representation. These can be exported to various formats, including KMZ, KML, CAD, and shapefiles.

There are processes and procedures to follow before commencing a route survey, which TNS is fully conversant with, and TNS has developed several reports to capture the required information as part of the documentation process. We have worked with communication providers to aid them in delivering their proposals from the proof of concept to network delivery.
Underground Cable Installation
TNS are very experienced with underground cabling and has a wealth of experience working on many service providers' networks, including the Openreach network, working through via their Tier 1 & 2 providers, and still does, so we understand the quality requirements for installation and the challenges that are out there on the various networks.
We have the knowledge and experience of both access and spine networks. And are fully equipped with our own splicing machines, OTDR's, cable blowing machines and compressors.

All staff are trained and hold vocational qualifications such as NRSWA, fibre jointing and testing, EUSR Telecoms safety cards, etc., and are accredited for the Openreach network.
